Occupational Therapy

The Occupational Therapy Department involves provision of assessment and treatment services to inpatients, outpatients and the rehabilitation unit. All our Occupational Therapists rotate into different clinical areas and involvement in Occupational Therapy student programs is an integral part of the role.

The daily activities include:

• Home Visits - this also includes modifications required to assist clients in their maintaining their independence.
• Activities of daily living retraining
• Wheelchair prescriptions
• Splinting
• Upper limb therapy

Practising Occupational Therapists on staff have the support of Management to pursue ongoing education. Occupational Therapy staff also conduct education sessions for other Health Professionals and Community agencies.
